When he was born, his parents were saddened to see really large ears. Soon they would find out he was also blind. His parents soon learned that he was very sensitive to noises (even mouse squeaks were too loud). As he grew, he gained the ability to sense his environment from just the sounds around him, more than making up for his blindness.
