Along with Lognir and Taw Kev, Alpha is the third and last surviving member of a civilization that fell long ago. Unlike her two counterparts, Alpha has stayed integrated into each civilization. Innately interested in anthropology, Alpha relished centuries of observation and interaction (she is always within arm reach of an original Masamune). But since around the 1800s, she has directed her energy to finding her counterparts. Early on she realized the type of technology she would need and has guided human civilization to get there.
